RINALDO AGAZZI (Mapello 1857 - Bergamo 1939) A WOMAN PLAYING PIANO
Black chalk. On verso study of a flower. Signed with the monogram 'RA' (recto) and 'RAgazzi (verso). 177 x 122 mm.
Rinaldo Agazzi studied at the Accademia Carrara, in Bergamo, under Enrico Scuri. He also won a fellowship to study in Rome. Agazzi moved from the academic tradition of Scuri toward 'Verismo'. He worked mainly in Bergamo and Milan. His younger brother, Ermenegildo, was also a painter.
