A painter, a draughtsman and an illustrator, Armenise studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Naples, under Domenico Morelli, Filippo Palizzi and Federico Maldarelli. In 1875 he opened up his own studio in Capodimonte, specializing in genre painting. In 1881 Armenise moved to Milan. |
