Cavalleri was taught at the Accademia Albertina in Turin, under Enrico Gamba, Andrea Gastaldi, Giuseppe Giani and Celestino Gilardi. He worked mainly as landscape and genre painter. His artistic evolution started with a naturalist approach, influenced by Millet. Then, during his career, he was attracted by Realism, Divisionism and Symbolism. |
