The sculptor Fernand Ciancianaini was born in Carrara. He was active in Paris in the first three decades of 20th Century, exhibiting at the 'Salon de la Société des Artistes Français' from 1907 until 1928. Then he moved to Torbole, on the Lake Garda. Cian created several bust portraits of Beethoven, one of them is in the garden of the Beethovenhauses in Bonn.
