Black chalk. Signed 'NCianfanelli'; 290 x 397 mm. Paper toned and foxed, other minor faults.

A pupil of Carlo Lasinio in Pisa and Pietro Benvenuti in Florence, Cianfanelli worked mainly in Florence. In 1822 he painted a fresco in Palazzo Borghese and later painted frescoes inspired by the novel 'I Promessi Sposi' in the Palazzina della Meridiana in the Boboli Gardens.
