Ciarrocchi studied at the Istituto d'Arte in Urbino. In 1937 he moved to Rome, there he worked, for seventeen years, as a printer at the Calcografia Nazionale. An etcher since the forties, Ciarrocchi won many prizes for graphic art. He was also a skilled watercolourist.
