Etching, 1896; a fine impression, in black ink, richly and skillfully printed, working on the surface tone with monotypic effects (acquaforte monotipata), on wove white paper. Signed 'Conconi ' and numbered 'pr 28' in the film of ink left in the plate in wiping. With margins, a few unobtrusive traces of creases and other minor faults. Otherwise in good condition. To the platemark 542 x 447 mm, the entire sheet measuring 648 x 494 mm. See M. Bianchi, G. Ginex, 'Luigi Conconi incisore', Milan, 1994; cat. no. 42. Conconi intended this print to be the frontispiece for a projected edition of his etchings, but the project never materialized.
