BRUNO CROATTO (Trieste 1875 - Rome 1948) A VIEW OF A SICILIAN CHURCH WITH MOORISH DOME
Drypoint, 1924, signed with monogram and dated in the plate 'B.C. 1924'. Signed in pencil 'Bruno Croatto'. A fine impression, with wide margins, lightly toned, otherwise in very good condition. To the platemark 188 x 238 mm, the entire sheet measuring 390 x 477 mm.

A student at the Academy of Arts in Munich, Croatto specialized in portrait painting and still lives. He exhibited at the Venice Biennales of 1897, 1912, 1924. From 1925 he lived and worked in Rome. Works by him are in the Museo Revoltella, Trieste. Croatto was also an accomplished printmaker.
