EUGENE LAMI (Paris 1800 - 1890) FANTASY ARCHITECTURE WITH FIGURES
Black and red chalks; signed with the monogram 'E.L.'. 82 x 100 mm. A drawing in the style of Hubert Robert.

Lami worked at the studio of Horace Vernet, then studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris with Camille Roqueplan and Paul Delaroche under Antoine-Jean Gros. He was a painter and also a lithographer, and was famous for his watercolours and his military representations.
