ALBERTO LONGONI (Milan 1921 - Miazzina di Verbania 1991) FANTASTIC VIEW OF A SEASIDE RESORT TOWN
|
Longoni was an eclectic artist: he wrote and illustrated books, he executed etchings, graffiti and paintings, and created sculptures and landscape architectures. After the II World War, when he was prisoner of the Germans, he settled in Milan working in a construction company by day, painting in the night. After 1953 this second task became the center of his life, and Longoni devoted himself for the rest of his life to the artistic activity, primarily as an illustrator. |
