Quinto Martini was an important figure in the cultural and artistic life of 20th-century Florence. A pupil and then a friend of Ardengo Soffici, he was mainly a sculptor and a painter. Quinto participated in the 1927 exhibition promoted by the Florentine weekly political and cultural journal 'Il Selvaggio', together with Mino Maccari, Carlo CarrĂ , Ottone Rosai, Giorgio Morandi. In 1934 he exhibited at the Biennale in Venice. He was a professor at the Accademia delle Belle Arti in Florence in the 1960s and 1970s. |
