A cartoonist and an illustrator, Pinochi studied art in Rome with Giulio Aristide Sartorio; very young he debuted on the pages of the newspaper 'Il Secolo XIX'. He then executed advertising illustrations for 'Il Corriere dei Piccoli' and illustrated many textbooks for the State Library during the fascist period. In 1938 Pinochi was hired as artistic director of Mondadori for the comic industry. So he began the collaboration with Federico Pedrocchi to produce some of the stories of Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse for the Italian market. In the forties Pinochi emigrated to Argentina, where he worked for the publishing house Editorial Abril. |
