Francesco Podesti, born in Ancona, studied in Rome under Giuseppe Landi and Vincenzo Camuccini. In his early years he travelled to Milan, Venice, Parma, Bologna, Florence, Naples, and, abroad, to London, Paris and Bruxelles. He lived and worked mainly in Rome. The present drawing, much influenced by Camuccini, could be ascribed to his early Roman years. |
