ENNIO POZZI (Sesto Fiorentino 1893 – 1974) CHILD WITH CROSSED ARMS (The Artist's daughter)

Born in Sesto Fiorentino, near Florence, Ennio Pozzi began to work as a painter of ceramics at eleven. In 1912 he enrolled at the 'Scuola Libera del Nudo' in the Florentine Academy. In 1914 Pozzi moved to Rome to serve in the army. He was back in Sesto Fiorentino in 1919, resuming his work of painter of ceramics. During his career Pozzi exhibited many times at the Biennale of Venice and also at the Quadriennale of Rome and taught drawing at the Florentine Liceo Artistico. |
