Woodcut, published by Izumiya Ichibei, signed 'Shuncho ga'. Very good impression, colours slightly faded, minor faults, generally in very good condition. 350 x 270 mm.
Another impression of the print is at the British Museum.

Less is recorded of Shuncho than of almost any other Ukiyo-e artist of equal importance. A pupil first to Shunsho, he soon forsook the theatrical field and found his ideal mentor in Kiyonaga, producing many attractive and well-balanced compositions of beautiful women.
