Woodcut, 1867, from the series 'Biographies of heroes of the Taiheiki'. Signed 'Chokaro Yoshiiku ga'. Very good impression and colour, slightly trimmed, minor faults, oxidation of orange, otherwise in very good condition. 'Chuban', 246 x 179 mm.

Yoshiiku was the son of a tea house proprietor. Together with Yoshitoshi he was a pupil of Kuniyoshi.
