Engraver and illustrator, Polo studied in Trento, Vienna and Munich (1928-30). Author of engravings, with harsh expressionist tones, he also left drawings and watercolours in which he manifested a more intimate and vibrant vision of everyday life. His rich graphic work (illustrations for magazines and newspapers, sketches, posters, etc.) is preserved in the major Italian and foreign museums.
