Tempera and watercolour. Signed and dated bottom right Parisot 79. 152 x 161 mm.
Adriano Parisot attended the Albertina Academy in Turin. He organized the editorial staff of the Turin MAC (Movimento Arte Concreta) and founded and directed the magazine I 4 Soli in Alba with an editorial team made up of Ugo Giannattasio, Emilio Vedova and Enrico Prampolini. This magazine had an important function as a bridge with contemporary French and European culture. Parisot attributed an essential function to language and form, which contains within itself a proactive force. The artist moved away from Concretism to seek solutions in the field of Lyrical Abstraction. He directed the Il Grifo Gallery in 1950-60 and held many personal exhibitions in Italian and foreign cities. He participated in numerous collective exhibitions in important museums, galleries and art exhibitions both in Italy and abroad.
