The drawing, particularly its verso, is extremely close to the Gandolfi family, specially to Gaetano. But a certain difference in quality prompts to think of an artist from his close circle. Maybe the drawing is by Giuseppe Santi, a pupil of Gaetano and Filippo Pedrini.
